Tencent’s PUBG Mobile clone Game for Peace rakes in USD 14 million in three days

Tencent kept PUBG Mobile online in China for more than a year. Even though the company failed to make any profits from the game, its persistence has paid off. Game for Peace, the replacement of PUBG Mobile in China, has earned USD 14 million in the first three days after launching last Wednesday, according to Sensor Tower.

In particular, Chinese players of Game for Peace spent USD 4.7 million on in-app purchases in Apple’s App Store, about six times as much as PUBG Mobile players in all countries besides China. In all, PUBG Mobile pulled in USD 2.2 million from iOS users outside China in the same period.

These revenue figures place Game for Peace comfortably on track to becoming the top-grossing battle royale mobile game title, dethroning Fortnite, which garnered USD 4 million through the App Store in the same period.
