BEIJING, May 22, 2019 — Nikkei, Asia’s largest independent business media group, has announced today a global partnership with China’s leading business and tech news portal 36Kr to cover Asian startups, with a focus on the vibrant Chinese startup scene.
The partnership will see global cooperation between Nikkei and 36Kr on news content and corporate data.
The Japanese version of 36Kr’s Chinese startup reportage will appear on the Nikkei Online Edition and Nikkei Telecom, a leading Japanese business database. In addition, 36Kr’s English content, produced through its subsidiary KrASIA, will appear on Nikkei Asian Review and scoutAsia, a corporate data and news service jointly developed by Nikkei and the Financial Times.
Founded in 2010 in Beijing, 36Kr has been chronicling China’s dynamic startup and venture capital ecosystem and growing alongside the ecosystem, which is the world’s second largest next to Silicon Valley.
To date, 36Kr has reached more than 150 million readers worldwide and published more than 100,000 articles. It’s one of the most influential content providers covering China’s new economy sector.
